2011 Events
Sustainable Foods Summit - San Francisco, CA, USA. January 18-19, 2011. Canaan Director Dr. Nasser Abufarha spoke at 3:00 pm, January 18 on the Impact of Ethical Sourcing on Impoverished Communities. He also presented at the first Summit in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, June 25-27, 2009, speaking in the Investing in Sustainability session.
San Francisco Green Festival, The Concourse Exhibition Center in San Francisco, CA, USA. April 9-10, 2011. Canaan partner The Rebuilding Alliance sampled and sold Canaan wares in their booth #925. Open to the public.
Fair Trade Federation Conference, Building Up Fair Trade - Milwaukee, WI, USA. May 6-8, 2011. U.S. Sales Coordinator Diane Adkin attended with presentation on Saturday plenary.
The 6th Annual Olive Harvest Festival (Jaru'a) on Canaan Fair Trade Fest Grounds in Burqin. November 4, 2011. Tours and tastings start at 11 am, lunch at 2 pm and live concert from 6-10pm. Flyer and directions here.Open to the public.

Green Festival – Chicago, IL, USA. May 22-23, 2010. Presentation on Canaan Fair Trade by Canaan representative Lynn Pollack, Saturday, May 22 at 1pm, with olive oil tasting. Canaan olive oil and fair trade Palestinian foods for sale at the Greenheart Shop booth #1705. Open to the public.
Green Festival – Seattle, WA, USA. June 5-6, 2010. Presentation on Canaan Fair Trade by Canaan representative Ursula Smircich, Sunday, June 6 at 11am. Olive oil tasting. Open to the public.
Fair Trade Futures Conference - Boston, MA, USA. September 10-12, 2010. Canaan was a Silver Sponsor. Director Nasser Abufarha attended.
Jaru’a Olive Harvest Festival – Burqin, Palestine. November 5, 2010. 3pm traditional harvest feast. 10am-9pm festival. Canaan’s new state-of-the-art factory was the venue.
